Art Movement
Art Nouveau
Art Nouveau for inspiration ideas for my final piece and my portfolio. I've chosen natural form and experimented with different drawing techniques using hand and machine embroidery, hand stitches, screen printing and collage appliqueing the same shape. Looks beautiful.
Pop Art
I visited the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester as part of my Art movement brief for my inspiration.
I was shocked by how almost all the machines were huge, and I wanted to explore the small machinery section, to extract relevant details. I realised how interesting the screws were attached to the bits as they caught my attention in their colour and form.
Some were deeper than others creating this beautiful inconsistency layout. Also, they shared different sizes, especially how they were stuck to each other. I took photographs and drew using different techniques and mixed media, exploring the colours of the constructivism art movement. The material used: 4b pencil, acrylic, fine point pen and chalk.
